Our
Yogi logo design emerged as the simplest form to communicate
the way to Peace through sitting meditation.
Its
message is instantly recognizable without needing verbal or
written explanation.
The
response to the logo has been positive appealing to most age
groups and genders even those with no previous exposure to
Indian motifs. The seated Yogi represents the greatest aspiration
of yoga practice, serenity of mind, equanimity and profound
peace.
The
second meditation symbol; the Metta logo is a sitting figure
with a heart in homage to Buddhist meditation practice of
Loving Kindness.
Materials
and Production
We design our products in
Australia and manufacture in Sri Lanka.
Our garments primarily use
cotton, one of India's gifts to the world. We add small amounts
of elastane to give the garments greater durability and stretch.
The final product is breathable, gentle on your skin and allows
ease of movement.
All of our garments come in
a large selection of prints, colours and sizes.
All Yogiwear bags are designed
to carry yoga mats and our larger bags feature wet and dry
compartments. Our range intends to get the yogi comfortably
to class, course or long retreat.
Influenced by the colors of the
monastic robes, our bags are made from 600D textile for its
durability and water resistance in a palette from Saffron to
Zen.
Our garments and bags are
manufactured in factories that are vetted for ethical labour
practices and working conditions. Our manufacturers have a
long experience of providing high quality products for the
North American and European consumer markets.
